Precious Wins People's Choice Award at Toronto

Precious, Lee Daniel's critcally acclaimed new film, is already on its way to the Oscars. The film just won the People's Choice award at the Toronto International Film Festival. This is surprising considering other acclaimed films entered the competition including An Education, A Serious Man, and Up in the Air. To win over those is quite a feat, but it also managed to break a record.
Precious also just became the first film to win both the People's Choice at the TIFF and the Audience Award at Sundance. No other film has done that in the history of the two festivals. The film is going to screen at the New York Film Festival. I already got my ticket and am totally excited to see it. I'll review it after I see it on October 5th. Can't wait!
