Dimension and The Weinstein Co. Reboot Movies

But when I say movies, I mean A LOT of movies. The Weinstein Company and Dimension have decided to reboot Scream and Spy Kids and remake An American Werewolf in London, Short Circuit, and Hellraiser. Scream 4 has already been announced, but Dimension confirmed and said it would go into production in 2010. Robert Rodriguez announced that he will return for (the unnecessary) Spy Kids 4 as a writer.

Scanners is going to be remade in 3D as well as a sequel to Hellraiser that will also be in 3D. Short Circuit will not be in 3D, but still is not interesting.

Do these companies understand that they are ruining Hollywood? The Weinstein Company had success with Inglourious Basterds, but sort of took one step forward, two steps back with this one. They're grubbing for cash now and it's very obvious. If you want to see any of these movies, have fun. I surely won't.
