Earlier this year, people got excited when Apparition bought the rights to Terrence Malick's The Tree of Life. It was rumored to be released on Christmas this year. Today, this was revealed to be false and just wishful thinking. No release date is set, but it will be released in 2010 for sure. 2010 now has its first Oscar contender.
