Mandalay Pictures has acquired the rights to Joe Hill's, the son of Stephen King, upcoming book Horns. The book hasn't even released yet and it's already been optioned for a movie! It must be good. Horns is about a man who wakes up from a hangover and realizes that there are horns growing from his head. The horns continue to grow bigger each day and eventually he realizes that they may be related somehow to the unsolved murder of his girlfriend.
Those who have read Heart Shaped Box know the power of Joe Hill's writing. Hill's writing, which is very reminiscent of his father's, is unusual and striking. It's spooky and at the same time, very readable. I'm totally psyched for this and I love Joe Hill. Try picking up Heart Shaped Box. You won't be able to put it down.
