20th Century Fox has bought an update of The Ten Commandments...but its being done in the style of 300. The Jewish religion just got a big F U from Fox. Come on. This has got to be the dumbest idea for a movie that I've heard this year. They're gonna do that stupid slo-mo/fast-mo BS with the parting of the Red Sea. And it's not gonna be one bit interesting.
Also, what the hell was the pitch like from writers Adam Cooper and Bill Collage? That meeting must have been hilarious! I laughed out loud just from the thought of the movie. Listening to their pitch must have just been straight laughter the whole way through. /Film has pointed out that it may turn out to Roland Emmerich style, with a big budget and tons of VFX. Neither one is necessary. It's okay for Hollywood to make book adaptations, but not Holy Book adaptations.
